The GEN M3 is Magpul's current generation and includes several improvements over the GEN M2 MOE: an over-travel insertion stop on the spine, more aggressive front and rear texture, a paint pen dot matrix for identification marking, and a next-generation impact-resistant polymer. The GEN M2 MOE remains a reliable, economical option using the same core follower and feeding geometry, but lacks the GEN M3 enhancements. Both feed reliably in AR15/M4-compatible weapons.
